ANATOMICAL PARTS OF A KERIS:


1. ⚔️ Pesi: The shaft of the blade is inserted into the hilt (handle).

2. 🌱 Gonjo: The base or base of the blade which is located between the pesi and the main blade.

3. 🛡️ Ganja: The additional part above the gonjo that protects the base of the keris.

4. 🌀 Sorsoran: The part of the blade closest to the gonjo.

5. ⚔️ Blade: The sharp and elongated main part of the keris.

6. ✨ Pamor: The pattern on a blade that results from welding and forging various types of metal.

7. 🌟 Gandik: The front part of the blade which usually sticks out slightly near the base of the blade.

8. 🐘 Elephant Lambe: The part like an elephant's lip that protrudes on the front side of the blade.

9. 🔮 Eyebrow Tickle: A line or groove on the blade that provides additional strength.

10. 🚨 Buntut Urang: The curved and pointed tip of the keris blade.

11. 🌳 Kruwingan: The groove or indentation along the side of the blade.

12. 🎨 Greneng: An ornament or decoration on the blade, often near the base.

13. 🌿 Kickback: The groove or indentation in the blade that extends from the base to the center of the blade.

14. 🌀 Jalen: The part of the blade that is curved or wavy like jalen (woven bamboo or rattan).

15. 🌸 Peanut Flowers: Ornaments on the gandik that resemble peanut flowers.

16. 🌀 Sraweyan: Small grooves or ornaments on the blade that resemble webbing or fine lines.

17. 🕊️ Gusen: Lines on the blade that strengthen the structure.

18. 🛡️ Humpback: The small protrusion on the blade that resembles a gland.

19. 🌀 Trim: The part of the blade that has winding decoration or ornaments, similar to a lis-lisan.
